      Showreel
Mini Animation of my Showreel.

I was the Chief Graphic Designer on “The World Sports Desk” - a half hour daily sports news programme which was broadcast to TV networks in several countries.  Around this I also worked on projects for Corporate clients and sequences for other programmes & pilots.
 
I edited together a showreel to music which examples my work.  Samples from this can be viewed below as MPEG video clips, rough 'Flick' animations or stills.

Euro Soccer Round-Up   - 7 sec [1.04 Mb]
Animated 3D intro created in 3D Studio & DVE with masking to show relevant footage for each weeks football headlines.
       
   

Klinsmanns Shirts   - 12 sec [1.78 Mb]
A sequence to illustrate a story on which Football Club Jurgen Klinsmann may transfer to.  Logos & motifs were sourced from photos of relevant teams and shirts drawn in Photoshop.  Sequence created same day (2-3 hours) amongst usual daily graphics required.
       
    Winking Queen   - 4 sec [0.62 Mb]
Sequence to illustrate a German Documentary about the Euro and Currency issues.  Didn't have the software to warp/morph image to make it wink so created a cell animated look in Photoshop.
       
   

Zurich Butterfly   - 18 sec [2.73 Mb]
Sequence for Zurich Insurance to illustrate the re-design of their Corporate Identity.  The chrysallis, from their printed leaflets/posters, was embellished into a rough storyboard.  Following client approval I created this butterfly animation in 3D Studio.
       
    Blast DVE   - 6 sec [1.01 Mb]
The new look World Sports Desk graphics & DVEs.  Background was created from 1 layer DVE and laid onto tape.  "Blast" DVE designed to animate Inscriber CG layouts in & out.
       
   

Flame DVE
A special alpha wipe used for the World Sports Desks coverage of the Atlanta Olympic Games. Primarily used with stills. Grey scale flame picture created in Photoshop and imported into Aladdin to create the wipe.

       
   

Olympic Titles
Title sequence for coverage of the Atlanta Olympic Games.  My very first animated 3D sequence.  Whilst teaching myself 3D Studio the opportunity arose to use 3D and I created this sequence before I'd finished the tutorials!
