Examples of Basic Level Photo Restoration

Below are some of the restorations we have done recently that fall under our Basic Service.

Example #3: Enhance Old Sepia Photo

Contrast and sharpness are the main enhancements here. Original image was digitally cropped and the corners recreated.

Example #4: Enhance Black & White Photo

Top corner crease and some marks on the plain background were removed from this photo along with enhancing the balance and sharpness. Image was reframed for specified print size.

Example #5: Enhance Colour Photo

This photo is in good condition but the colour which wasn't too strong to start with has yellowed since it was taken in the late 60's. We were able to remove the colour cast and enhance the saturation.

Example #6: Restoration with background extension

This old photo had been cut to an oval shape and mounted on card. We enhanced the image under our basic photo restoration service and did some additional manipulation work to extend the image recreating the missing corners.

Example #7: Restoration of pencil sketch cartoon

Our restoration skills are not limited to photographs. We can also restore and enhance pencil drawings and sketches. This example of a hand drawn cartoon was in need of preservation. The paper had yellowed with age and had also been folded at some point (the original was 14" wide). We removed the smudges and the crease, contrast was enhanced and signs of the yellowing paper removed. The restored drawing was enlarged and printed as a 20"x8" panorama.
